Lomand goes Lion

Lomond Foods has announced that all the eggs used in its products come from British Lion approved farms.

Sam Henderson, CEO of Glasgow based Lomond Foods, said: “We are committed to using top quality ingredients produced to the highest standards of food safety and specifying Lion egg products means we can be absolutely confident that our customers are getting the best available product.”

Ian Jones, Lion egg products Vice-Chairman, said: ”By stipulating British Lion Quality egg products Lomond Foods is joining a growing group of manufacturers and food businesses which recognises the advantages of specifying Lion. At the same time they’re also getting a product that supports British farmers.”

The Lion mark denotes eggs produced to a rigorous Code of Practice incorporating the latest research and advice on Salmonella and eggs from scientists and vets. British Lion eggs account for around 85% of UK egg production.
